In traditional Shipibo lure, the elusive river dolphin is said to entrap the spirits of the native women who have succumbed to their seduction. Hoping to find a way back to their human spirit, the dolphins lure fishermen and women into the lagoon. Rich in meaning, and illuminated with vibrant color, the story is widely believed within the indigenous Shipibo community.
