Euclides Ruiz Lopez (artist signs his works as Euclydelperu) is a native of Puerto Belen in the District of Ipania, Peru. An indigenous Shipibo artisan, Euclides works primarily on canvas to express his visionary journeys with themes of tribal customs enriched through ayahuasca and its sacred teachings.
Since childhood, the artist has been immersed in the study and practical use of medicinal plants, learning from and experiencing many profound ceremonies guided by his parents and grandparents alike. This lifetime of exploration has enabled Euclides the visionary talent to guide us on this inner journey to other realms. His works are vignettes of these moments in time.
